Although most of the world saw Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s butt-naked debut on The White Lotus, his biggest fan missed that moment.
While raving about her son’s performance in Season 3 of Mike White‘s hit HBO series, Maria Shriver revealed that she was too focused on Patrick’s performance to notice his wardrobe (or lack thereof) during the Season 3 premiere episode ‘Arrivals’.
“My kids were like, ‘Did you see that?’ And I was like, ‘No. What?’” Shriver told People. “So that shows you — a mother’s eyes are always on the kids’ eyes.”

Patrick’s dad Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was at the premiere as well, praised his son’s performance on Instagram while also reacting to the nude scene, following his own au naturel debut in The Terminator (1984).
“I was so pumped to take a break from filming to celebrate @patrickschwarzenegger at the White Lotus Season 3 premiere,” he wrote. “What a show! I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Don’t miss it this Sunday – trust me.”
In The White Lotus Season 3, Patrick plays the role of Saxon Ratliff, the oldest child of Jason Isaacs’ Timothy and Parker Posey’s Victoria. The premiere episode introduces a strange dynamic between Saxon and his younger siblings Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola).
Following last Sunday’s premiere, Patrick shared a tearful video of the moment he found out he got the part of Saxon.
This season also features Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Lek Patravadi, Aimee Lou Wood, and Natasha Rothwell.
