It was a New York celebration with a Foreigner on the scene.
“Succession” star Annabelle Dexter-Jones and her fiancé, chef Daniel Humm, threw an epic birthday bash for her jewelry designer mom, Ann Dexter-Jones on Wednesday.
The party kicked off at 8p.m. at Humm’s new cocktail lounge, Clemente Bar, at Eleven Madison Park.
“Poor Daniel… I said I was going to have 60 people and I just couldn’t do 60! I kept thinking of people I would feel bad to not have on my list,” Ann said, cocktail in hand, during her birthday speech.
Ann warned guests the bash would go late and quipped, “In order for my new son-in-law to marry my daughter, and for her to say yes, he offered to give me this party. How convenient is that?”
Fran Lebowitz, Nile Rodgers, Janna Bullock, Jill Stuart, Dianne Brill, Jason Carroll, Nelly Moudime, Anna Rothschild, Greg Calejo, Dorinda Medley, Jane Rose, Omar Hernandez, R. Couri Hay, Blaine Trump, Robert and Brian Atwood were a few of the guests who made the list.
Ann’s son, mega-producer Mark Ronson, her daughter, Samantha Ronson, and her husband, Foreigner founder Mick Jones, were also there.
“I want you to know why you’re all here,” Ann explained. “My husband hadn’t been well, so for the last five years — I’m a people person — I haven’t entertained… I suddenly thought, ‘F- it,’ because I never say f—k,” she joked.
(Mick revealed he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, “a number of years ago,” in 2024.)
“Uptown Funk” maestro Mark provided the tunes for the party, and Ann said, “Thank God Mark did the playlist before he did ‘Saturday Night Live’ or I couldn’t have afforded him.”
(Ronson co-produced the “SNL” 50th anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall with Lorne Michaels.)
And while the night was all about Ann, guests congratulated Humm and Annabelle on their engagement throughout the night with Annabelle happily showing off her ring.
The glowing couple brought out a cake for the birthday girl, who also joked, “it’s not a special birthday because I’m only 29.”
