Danish design house, Georg Jensen has unveiled a new series of sculptural vases in its “Lituus” Collection, designed by Anne Boysen. Comprising three variants – Large, Medium and Floor – these vases are crafted to support flowers throughout their lifecycle, seamlessly blending artistic expression with functionality.
Drawing cues from the cycles of nature and the lifespan of flowers, Boysen designed the vases with diagonal, tubular shapes that provide structural support for flowers at every stage, from bud to full bloom and beyond. The intersecting spaces of the tubes evoke a sense of fluidity and motion, reflecting the ever-changing rhythms of nature.
Anne Boysen explained that her work focuses on making simplicity both beautiful and functional. With the Lituus collection, she aimed to create vases that offer a unique aesthetic while helping flowers stay vibrant and last longer in homes. The collection merges design with longevity and mindful living, embodying Boysen’s vision of combining artistic beauty with practical functionality.
Priced from £109 – £239 GBP (approx. $138 – $303 USD), Anne Boysen’s “Lituus” Collection is currently avaiable for purchase through Georg Jensen’s webstore.
