The Summer House casting directors have been working overtime the last two years. While the cast finally felt complete when West Wilson and Jesse Solomon joined the show in Season 8, production took things up another notch by adding model Lexi Wood and influencer/nanny Bailee Henderson to Season 9.
Wood made quite the entrance in the Hamptons house when she showed up with “bestie” Henderson, who ultimately ended up “parting ways” with the show midway through filming. Wearing a crop top, kitten heels and ripped denim shorts, Wood immediately caught the attention of Solomon, who wasted no time laying on the charm. Even his cringey joke asking if her middle name was “Gives Me” didn’t scare her away, which was a good start for him!

Who is Summer House star Lexi Wood?
Born in Toronto, Wood is a 26-year-old model who made her reality television debut in Summer House Season 9. She revealed in an April 2020 interview that her modeling career has taken her from Paris to Miami to Los Angeles to New York City, where she currently resides.
Wood joined Summer House through longtime star Amanda Batula, whom she first met at an event. Batula described her new friend as “sweet” and “bubbly” and compared her energy to that of a “puppy.”
The model, who boasts 1.1 million Instagram followers and over 100k TikTok followers, also co-hosts the 6 and 9 podcast with her sister Tiffany Wood and their mom Shannon Cassidy Wood.
What is Lexi Wood’s dating history?
Wood has quite an interesting dating history. In 2018, she was photographed kissing Brooklyn Beckham — the son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham — at a Los Angeles tattoo parlor while he was still in a relationship with actress Chloë Grace Moretz.
Four years later (in November 2022, to be exact), Wood went Instagram official with Presley Gerber — the son of Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford. They made their red carpet debut with his parents shortly after their announcement, but they ultimately called it quits in December 2022.
Is Lexi Wood dating Jesse Solomon?
In the premiere episode, Wood confirms that she’s very much so single. But that might soon change with Solomon on the prowl. Right off the bat, he begins flirting with her — and luckily for him, the feelings seem to be mutual.
“I genuinely go for somebody that can be silly with me. And I love a good dad joke,” Wood says in her confessional. “And teeth? For some reason, I love teeth. And he has a lot of them.”
With Solomon declaring his love for Wood to the other guys in the house, it’s no surprise that he made his first move in only Episode 2. After having a heart-to-heart about Solomon’s cancer journey and Wood’s experience with losing her best friend, they did what all trauma-bonders would do next: make out.
While they seem to make a cute couple at this point in the season, the trailer teases some trouble on the horizon when Wood accuses Solomon of being flirty with Ciara Miller.
But much like West Wilson and Miller last season, neither Wood or Solomon have posted about each other on their socials, likely making viewers wait to see how their relationship unfolds on the show.
Who is Lexi Wood’s “best friend” who passed away?
Wood opened up about losing her best friend, fashion model Jeremy Ruehlemann, when Solomon asked why she was wearing a “J” necklace in this week’s episode. She became friends with Ruehlemann, who died of a suspected accidental drug overdose in January 2023, when she was only 15 years old.
“I have never experienced that sort of heartbreak,” Wood said. “Losing somebody that was the closest person to me other than my family shattered me. And I just felt, like, fully empty for a very long time. I think that’s also why I love so loudly, especially now, because when you realize how fast life can come and go, it makes you fully want to dive into every emotion and love is the best thing ever.”
Ruehlemann, for his part, was beloved among the fashion community, with designer Christian Siriano describing him as one of his “muses.”
“To lose a friend who was such a beautiful soul is just really hard,” Siriano wrote on Instagram. “This is for Jeremy, the most beautiful man that gave so much love to everyone he met no matter what.”
