Jeep has introduced the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Backcountry, a limited-edition model designed to enhance the off-road capabilities of the Wrangler 4xe Sahara while adding premium tech and convenience features. Production for the model is limited to 5,800 units for North America.
Bob Broderdorf, Jeep’s CEO, emphasized that the Backcountry edition is built for customers who want to embrace off-road adventures without compromising on modern comforts. “The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry is designed for customers who want to head off-road with help from built-in Adventure Guides and a front TrailCam. Then back at camp, enjoy their playlist on the nine-speaker Alpine audio system, power devices with the 4xe-exclusive Jeep Power Box, and stay connected with onboard Wi-Fi,” he shared.
Building upon the Wrangler 4xe Sahara, the Backcountry edition features front and rear steel bumpers, rock rails and a Mopar single-loop grille guard for added protection. It rides on aggressive 32-inch General Grabber A/T tires mounted on exclusive 20-inch wheels. Unique Backcountry decals on the hood, fender and rear swing gate set this model apart visually.
Other off-road upgrades include a front TrailCam for improved visibility on rough terrain, a Trailer Tow package and auxiliary switches for accessory installation. The Jeep Power Box, exclusive to 4xe models, allows owners to power small appliances using energy from the high-voltage hybrid battery.
Inside, the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Backcountry comes equipped with Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system, featuring a 12.3-inch display, GPS navigation and built-in trail guides through Trails Offroad. The model supports over-the-air (OTA) updates and offers an optional premium subscription unlocking more than 3,000 trail guides.
The Wrangler 4xe Backcountry retains Jeep’s class-exclusive plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining gas and electric technology for selectable near-silent operation. This limited edition Wrangler is available to order now via official Jeep channels, starting at $64,290 USD.
