A new Pokémon Presents showcase is coming on Feb. 27, The Pokémon Company announced Thursday. The new Presents livestream falls on Pokémon Day 2025, the annual celebration of the monster-catching franchise.
February’s Pokémon Presents will stream on official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels at 9 a.m. EST/6 a.m. PST/2 p.m. GMT/11 p.m. JST. We’ll update this post with a link to the Pokémon Presents YouTube presentation when it goes live.
While The Pokémon Company hasn’t announced what it will focus on at the Pokémon Day Presents, fans are almost guaranteed to get an update on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Game Freak’s new Legends game set in the franchise’s Kalos. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2025 — and maybe Switch 2?
Otherwise, Pokémon fans should probably expect the bulk of the showcase to focus on updates for existing games, like Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Sleep.
Feb. 27 marks the anniversary of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green’s 1996 release date in Japan, hence the existence of Pokémon Day. At least one Pokémon game will also celebrate a milestone anniversary in 2025: Pokémon Crystal, the enhanced rerelease of Pokémon Gold and Silver for Game Boy Color.
