Sex and the City actor Chris Noth — who left the spotlight in 2021 after numerous sexual assault allegations against him — made a rare public appearance with his family.
On Monday, February 16, the 70-year-old actor was photographed at Universal Studios with wife Tara Wilson and their son Keats.
In photos obtained by The Daily Mail, the disgraced actor looked nearly unrecognizable without the jet-black hair that his SATC character Mr. Big was known for. Instead, he sported fully gray head of hair and a salt and pepper beard. For the amusement park outing, he dressed in a white button-down shirt and jeans. Wilson, 45, went for more of an athleisure look in black leggings, a pink hoodie, and a leather fanny pack, while the youngest of their two sons, 5-year-old Keats, wore a T-shirt and sweatpants. The couple are also parents to Orion, 16.
Noth has been in the public eye far less since sexual assault allegations against him surfaced in 2021 but apparently ventured into the busy park to enjoy a day of fun with his family.
The actor had just reprised the role of Mr. Big on the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That— where his character suffered a heart attack and died — when two women came forward and accused him of rape in December 2021. Two more women came out with accusations of sexual assault shortly after, but no legal charges were ever filed.
Noth’s co-stars from the HBO comedies — Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis — released a statement that same month. “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” read the statement. “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it much be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
Noth has vehemently denied all accusations, though he did admit that he had had extramarital affairs. and suggested that a “money train” might have motivated some of his accusers. In a 2023 interview with USA Today, Noth said that he hoped to get back to work but had been having difficulty doing so.
“People are afraid of all this,” he told the outlet, referring to the negative media attention that had been attached to his name. “Fear is the overriding operative word when it comes to whether they believe it or not. … I have to just continue on. It’s rough, because people are scared, and their fear leads them. And I have to just persevere because I still have a creative life.”
