Britney Spears has reunited with her former lawyer Mathew Rosengart — but only for a day.
Spears shared a video of the pair posing for a series of photos together on Tuesday, seven months after Rosengart stopped representing the pop star.
“It’s been way too long since I’ve seen him !!! OMG OMG OMG !!! It was such an incredible day !!! I am blessed,” she wrote on Instagram.
A source tells Page Six exclusively that Spears asked Rosengart to get “lunch to catch up.”
We hear the duo met at the attorney’s Los Angeles office, where they took the pictures that the “Toxic” singer shared on social media.
Rosengart was “appreciative” of Spears’ post and “all the nice feedback about it,” according to our insider — but, contrary to ensuing fan speculation, she has not retained him again.
“They accomplished what they set out to do,” the source says of Rosengart ousting Spears’ estranged father, Jamie Spears, as her conservator in September 2021 before getting her conservatorship terminated that November.
We’re told the former federal prosecutor is “very proud” of his work for Britney, but he has “moved on to deal with a heavy docket and trials.”
The insider also clarifies that Rosengart is “not involved” in Wendy Williams’ ongoing fight to end her guardianship despite many supporters comparing her case to the Grammy winner’s.
In her Instagram post, Britney, 43, kept it casual in an orange top, white denim shorts and a brown flat-brim hat, while Rosengart looked dapper in a tan blazer, a light blue button-up shirt and dark pants.
“He showed me up with his suit !!! I will be in heels next time,” she joked in the caption.
The snaps marked the first time fans have seen the “Crossroads” star and the powerhouse litigator together since they reached a settlement with Jamie, 72, in April 2024 over her 13-year conservatorship.
“Her wish for freedom is now truly complete. … She will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter,” Rosengart told Page Six at the time.
Less than two months later, Britney and the legal eagle parted ways professionally.
“Our goal together was always to suspend her father and restore her fundamental rights and civil liberties,” he told us in June 2024, “and I will always be extremely proud of our work together.”
