The final round of the PGA Tour Golf event, the Genesis Invitational, takes place on Sunday, with various golfers in contention for the important win.
Torrey Pines’ South Course is hosting the event and the event has a $20 million prize purse. Currently in the lead is Patrick Rodgers at eight under par, with two other golfers within two strokes of him, setting up for an action-packed final round at the Genesis Invitational. Denny McCarthy sits in second at seven under par. McCarthy was in the lead heading into the third round of the event but he shot one over par on Saturday, which cost him his lead.

Ludvig Åberg, meanwhile, is in third place at six under par. Åberg shot two under par on Saturday to get to this point. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, on the other hand, who was in second place on the leaderboard heading into the third round, shot an uncharacteristic poor round on Saturday, posting a score of four over par, and now sits tied for eighth at three under par, five strokes behind the new leader.
Can the two-time major-winner Scheffler pull off the huge comeback on Sunday?
Other golfers in contention on Sunday are a couple of fan favorites, American Tony Finau and Englishman Tommy Fleetwood, both at four under par, as well as Davis Thompson and Patrick Cantlay, who are both also at four under. With six golfers within four strokes of the leader, Rodgers, Sunday should be a thrilling day of golf at Torrey Pines’ South Course.
