This has seemingly set the tone for Hogan and the WWE-supported beer company since they are now facing a negligence lawsuit.
According to a report from Tino Bovenzi of FOX 8, Michelle Harlukowicz from Akron, Ohio is suing Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) and Real American Beer, claiming that she was hit in the head with an unopened can of beer at a promotional event.

“It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted… with a can of beer,” Eric Tayfel, the attorney representing Harlukowicz, said.
The lawsuit was filed on Feb. 10, 2025, alleging “negligence causing injury” after the beer can stuck Harlukowicz in the forehead after it was “thrown an estimated 50 feet.” She required approximately 10 stitches.
“She had an open wound to her forehead,” Tayfel said. “It was pretty big. She ended up needing a number of stitches to her head, and she’s going to have some permanent scarring from that.”

According to the report, Harlukowicz was standing near the back wall of the establishment when the can hit her and she never saw it coming.
Medina Township Police responded to the incident. However, charges were not filed because the officers “could not determine who threw the beer.”
Per the report, “Harlukowicz is seeking damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering and emotional distress.”
“First of all, we want some accountability,” Tayfel said. “He is still touring around hocking his beer. We certainly don’t want to have this happen to anyone else.”
