Craig Conover doesn’t have a cheatin’ heart.
The “Summer House” star denied he was texting other women during his relationship with Paige DeSorbo, as his ex-girlfriend claimed in the Bravo series’ Season 9 premiere episode.
In a teaser for his upcoming appearance on the “Tamron Hall Show,” which was released on Friday, Conover refuted DeSorbo’s accusations alleging that the scene in question was shot in “retaliation.”
“It was disappointing to see the direction that her and the show went because, I’m just grateful for the three years of a relationship that we had. It was really great,” Conover said. His full interview will become available on Monday.
“I am a 100 times better version of myself now than I was and I think she is too,” the “Southern Charm” star, 37, continued.
He went on adding that co-star Shep Rose told him his loyalty was the “most frustrating” part about him, to further prove that he “never” cheated.
“I think the best thing that you can have in a relationship is that security, not worrying what your partner is doing. So, no. I wasn’t. But, you can’t control other people,” Conover continued.
In Wednesday’s episode, DeSorbo, 32, made the bombshell accusation during a conversation with her co-stars Amanda Batula and Lindsay Hubbard
As she rehashed the rumor that she cheated on the reality TV star and how he refused to dispel the speculation.
“You’re gonna let people say that I’m a cheater? I caught you texting two bitches in the course of our relationship,” DeSorbo said.
“Now, you’re dead to me,” she closed. The camera then panned to Batula and Hubbard, who both appeared shocked.
When asked why he thinks DeSorbo would accuse him of cheating during their relationship, the Bravolebrity clarified that the texts DeSorbo mentioned in the episode were not “part of [their] breakup.”
“That was filmed later on,” he alleged, but said he felt Wednesday’s scene in question was some sort of pay back.
“She got a lot of backlash for the breakup, which I was disappointed at. At the end of the day, she fell out of love. I wasn’t the right person for her and I think that’s OK.”
“If someone’s not right for you, you only live once. Go find your person.”
Conover and DeSorbo called it quits after three years of dating in December. At the time, the “Giggly Squad” podcast host claimed their split was a mutual decision.
However in February, Conover denied being involved in their relationship ending, claiming that he was “shocked” when DeSorbo, 32, decided to end their three-year relationship because they were planning their “future together.”
“We didn’t want different things –– she just wanted other people, and that’s fine,” he shared. “Like, she didn’t want those things with me anymore, and, like, I’m not mad at her for that, but I don’t like this, ‘Love isn’t enough thing,’ because, you’ll make it work.”
