Teddi Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, shared a health update after she underwent emergency brain surgery to have two tumors removed.
“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well,” Arroyave wrote via his Instagram Story Thursday.
“That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum has kept her followers in the loop with her health since announcing the news in an Instagram post Feb. 12.
“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches,” she wrote. “Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”
Mellencamp, 43, explained that she would then be undergoing emergency brain surgery to remove two of the tumors.
“The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” she shared.
The “Two Ts In a Pod” podcast co-host thanked her “children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health.”
“Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey,” she concluded.
Mellencamp continued documenting her journey, posting photos and videos of her in the hospital and getting a buzz cut in preparation for surgery.
Following the news, the All In founder has been leaning on her family and friends, including Arroyave, who visited her in the hospital with two of their shared children: son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, 4.
Arroyave even shared on social media that he was praying for Mellencamp to have a “full recovery.”
“Lord, I lift up @teddimellencamp to You,” he wrote Feb. 12. “You are the Great Healer, and I ask for Your healing touch upon her body. Restore her strength, renew her spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Grant her peace, hope, and full recovery. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Mellencamp’s close friends Kyle Richards and Morgan Wade also stopped by before she underwent surgery, per social media uploads.
Mellencamps’ “Two Ts In a Pod” co-host, Tamra Judge, also expressed her love while addressing the situation on a Feb. 12 episode.
“I’ll allow Teddi to tell her story when she’s back,” the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star said while tearing up.
“But you all know how much she loves this podcast and wants nothing more than for us to continue on recording while she focuses on her health.”
