Billionaire John Paulson and his fiancée, Alina de Almeida, have welcomed a baby girl.
A source close to the couple tells Page Six exclusively, “Alina gave birth [on Feb. 12] to a healthy baby girl.”
The pair have named their daughter Jacqueline, after Paulson’s mother, we hear.
The new parents “are elated with her arrival,” we hear.
“Alina feels good,” and it was a “smooth delivery,” says the source.
The Wall Street titan, 69, and registered dietician, 36, got engaged in April 2023 after dating for two and a half years.
De Almeida told us in August how much she wanted to start a family.
“[We are] very excited,” she told Page Six. “This is something we had been planning. It wasn’t much of a surprise. We have been together now for three years, and I have always wanted a family, and I know John will make a great father,” she added.
De Almeida also told Page Six, “We just hope the baby is healthy. Boy or girl, we welcome either.”
She also sang Paulson’s praises.
“John is just a wonderful partner,” de Almeida tells us. “He brings out the best in me. He pushed me to the next level with my career. He is very supportive, very patient and caring.”
De Almeida — who has a degree in Food & Nutrition Sciences — is the founder of health counseling company, Effective Lifestyle.
Paulson — who famously made $20 billion betting against the housing market before the 2008 crash — is still in the midst of a high profile divorce from his ex-wife, Jenny.
Paulson, a major Donald Trump donor, who’s worth at least $4.7 billion, previously told us, “Unfortunately our marriage didn’t work out. Divorces are common, but difficult. Alina and I are very happy together. I wish Jenny can find happiness, too.”
He and Jenny have two children together.
