One woman turned to prayer in hopes of being sent a man who would love and cherish her, but she soon realized she wasn’t clear about what kind of man she wanted.
TikTok user @thegirlthatrants shared in her January 28 video that she prayed for a man to come into her life. But not just any man. She wanted someone who would be “obsessed” with her and enjoy cuddling. Surprisingly enough, praying paid off. However, the man she was sent in 2022 after her prayers was not who she envisioned.
The “man” in the video fit her requirements—he wouldn’t leave her side and kept nuzzling up against her face and neck. But instead of the human man she asked for, she stood there holding a cat named Odin. This is who she was sent after her prayers, which got her thinking. Maybe she “should have been more specific” on the type of man she wanted.
The owner asked in the caption: “Did I pray for the wrong type of Man?”

Luckily, she didn’t care about the mix-up on the type of man she prayed for because Odin fulfilled her wishes in his unique way—following her around the house, always wanting affection and letting her be the only one to hold him.
The love for him is given right back. Her other TikTok videos show her returning his love cradling him like a baby and giving him endless kisses. She said he always gets the “prince treatment” in the house between her and her other cat, Onyx.
Newsweek reached out to @thegirlthatrants via TikTok for additional information and comment.
Her realization about her prayers quickly became a hit, amassing over 17.1 million views and 4.1 million likes on TikTok as of Wednesday.
Full of jealousy, viewers flooded the comment section and confirmed to the owner that her prayers had been answered. It may not have been what she asked for, but most agreed it was better than she could’ve imagined.
“Nah prayer was answered, this one won’t lie,” said one viewer.
A second echoed: “He will NEVER lie to you, cheat on you, speak disrespectfully to you, etc. God sent you exactly what/who you needed. We don’t need men!”
Noting the cat’s affection, someone pointed out: “Not him going in for a kiss!!”
