Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) experienced a significant outage over the weekend, lasting from Friday through Saturday evening. The disruption, which exceeded 24 hours, marked one of the longest unplanned service interruptions in recent years. Affected services included account management, social features and access to the PlayStation Store, leaving many users frustrated.
While the network has since been restored, Sony has not provided detailed insights into the specific cause of the outage. According to Polygon, a spokesperson for Sony Interactive Entertainment acknowledged the issue and reassured users that services were fully operational again.
