Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy has officially terminated his collaboration with YEEZY, after operating as the Ye-founded streetwear brand’s head of design for almost two years.
Rubchinskiy joined YEEZY in 2023 after Ye lost his adidas collaboration due to a hateful Twitter rampage in which the rapper challenged Jewish identities, his perpetuation of harmful conspiracy theories, and his threat to “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” The designer—a controversial figure in his own right who allegedly requested inappropriate images from a minor in 2018—entered the company to help rebuild its reputation.
On Instagram, Rubchinskiy stated, “Our partnership with YEEZY has reached its conclusion. The December drop was last for me. I’m deeply grateful to Ye and the entire YEEZY team for a memorable experience—one that will always stay with me.”
He concluded, “As I move forward, I continue to develop my creative vision, exploring new projects and evolving past ideas in ways that feel true to me. In due time, I will share more about what’s next for upcoming GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY brand relaunch.”
