The View is missing one of its co-hosts this morning, but the ladies still got right down to business discussing current events, including the revelation that Elon Musk now has control of the Treasury Department’s payment system — meaning he also has access to social security information of many U.S. taxpayers.
While Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin all weighed in on the concerning news, we didn’t get to hear from Joy Behar, who was absent from this morning’s show.
Tuesday marked Behar’s second day away from The View this week after she missed the Monday show as usual, which loyal fans know is in keeping with her weekly schedule (she takes off Mondays while Goldberg takes off Fridays).
The last time Behar was on the show was Jan. 31, when she and her co-hosts discussed remarks made by President Donald Trump in which he blamed diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for the deadly American Airlines plane crash in Washington, D.C.
Behar was disgusted by his words, saying, “Victims were still being taken out of the Potomac while he was saying this.” Meanwhile, Ana Navarro proclaimed, “When you talk about DEI and Trump, it means despicable, enraging idiocy. That’s what his DEI means.”
Also on the Jan. 31 show, the ladies welcomed Michael Strahan, who gave an emotional interview about his daughter Isabella Strahan‘s inspiring cancer fight and upcoming documentary, Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan’s Fight Against Cancer.
Haines, who is close with Michael after the two worked together on GMA3, teared up during the chat, and nearly made Michael do the same. When she asked him, “The pain of a parent watching your child feel uncomfortable and so few of us deal with this type of pain, how was that for you?” he replied, “You’re gonna make me cry!”
Now, on our second day with no Behar, she’s certainly missed. Here’s what we know about when she’ll be back.
Where is Joy Behar?
Behar is missing from today’s episode of The View. When the Tuesday episode began, Goldberg got her absence out of the way right at the top. She told the audience, “All kinds of stuff is going on today. Joy is not here. She’ll be back tomorrow, we think.”
When will Joy Behar be back on The View?
Behar will likely be back on the show tomorrow, as Goldberg said. DECIDER reached out to The View for additional information. We have our fingers crossed we won’t have to wait too long to see her again!
