At the end of January, Tissot announced a multi-year extension to its global marketing partnership with NBA, WNBA and the NBA G League. In commemorating their extended partnership, Tissot has revealed a new NBA Supersport 2025 Special Edition timepiece.
From its sporty appearance to its thoughtful details, this special edition pays homage to basketball while bringing the game’s appeal to the wrist. Encased in a 45mm black PVD-coated stainless steel case, it features a bezel inspired by the NBA’s 24-second shot clock, with color accents hinting at the league.
The dial, adorned with a basketball dot pattern and a gradient fade from dark gray to black, creates an illusion of depth that mirrors the ball’s shape. Numeral indices reminiscent of player jerseys and the NBA logo on the other hand further pay tribute to the sport. Complementing the dial’s distinct texture, the accompanying bracelet boasts a bi-material composition comprised of rubber, synthetic materials and leather. Crafted to echo the feel of a basketball, the strap is finished with red and blue stitches as accents.
The caseback boldly wears the NBA logo at its center, surrounded by the cities and states the teams take their names. Powered by a quartz chronograph movement, the watch provides accurate timekeeping with minimal maintenance, ideal for timing sprints, drills, or shot attempts. Tissot’s NBA Supersport 2025 Special Edition watch is currently available only in the U.S. and France via the brand. In March, it will become available in other regions.
Tissot’s renewed collaboration with NBA also includes the introduction of a redesigned, state-of-the-art shot clock and timing system. The redesigned shot clock features advanced technology and a distinctive round design inspired by Tissot’s watchmaking heritage, with full RGB LED light strips allowing for a variety of colors.
This new technology will enhance game presentation and basketball operations, integrating the green coaches’ challenge signal and improving the user interface for streamlined operation. The lightweight aluminum frame and modular design facilitate easier installation, maintenance, and future upgrades. The new shot clocks will be introduced in arenas starting with the 2025-26 NBA season and the 2026 WNBA season.
