Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Daisy Jones & the Six) is set to star alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in Lucky, the new limited drama based on the New York Times bestselling novel and Reese’s Book Club pick of the same name by Marissa Stapley.
Lucky follows a young woman (Taylor-Joy) who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago and now embraces her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.
Olyphant will play ‘John,’ Lucky’s father.
Lucky is produced by Hello Sunshine and Tropper Ink, and is created by Jonathan Tropper under his overall deal with Apple TV+. Tropper serves as co-showrunner alongside Cassie Pappas (Silo, Griselda). The series is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media. Anya Taylor-Joy executive produces through her production banner Ladykiller.

Jonathan Van Tulleken will direct several episodes, including the pilot, and serve as executive producer.
Olyphant recently wrapped filming on Jorma Taccone’s upcoming thriller The Trip. He can next be seen starring in Noah Hawley’s TV adaptation of Alien for FX alongside Justified: City Primeval for FX, where he reprised his iconic role as “Raylan Givens.”
He can also be seen in Havoc alongside Tom Hardy for Netflix and the Amazon series, Daisy Jones and the Six. Tim can also be seen in the star-studded David O. Russell film, Amsterdam, alongside Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and Taylor Swift. Tim stars in Steven Soderbergh’s HBO Max limited series, Full Circle, with Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, Dennis Quaid, Jim Gaffigan and Jharrel Jerome. Other recent credits include an exciting role in Ted Melfi’s The Starling as well Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie. He was also prominently seen in Noah Hawley’s hit FX series, Fargo, Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian, and a great comedic turn in Curb Your Enthusiasm.
