The King Queen of Staten Island.
Pete Davidson admits that he typically takes on the more “feminine” role when it comes to being in a relationship.
While on the topic of dating during his Friday guest appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” host Drew Barrymore asked the “King of Staten Island” star whether a girl should make the first move and approach a man they’re interested in.
“I’m the girl, I think, whenever I’m in a relationship,” Davidson, 31, replied. “So, some guys are shy and like when a lady’s like, ‘Hey,’ you know?”
Barrymore appeared stunned by the revelation and asked if people like Davidson “like assertiveness” from women.
“I do,” he said. “Because I grew up all ladies in the house, so I act pretty feminine.”
Davidson is no stranger to dating powerful women as he’s had relationships with a slew of noteworthy females over the years — including Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale.
Despite having a long list of famous exes, he recently told W magazine that he doesn’t want to be known as a “f–king loser who just dates people.”
“I just want to be known for doing good work. I want to be out there only when it’s [a] movie, stand-up, charity, or business ventures,” he told the outlet in December 2024. “That’s when I want to be seen. I don’t want to be this f—ing loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am.”
The “Saturday Night Live” alum shared that sentiment for the first time when he told Jon Bernthal on his “Real Ones” podcast that he doesn’t even think his dating history is that “interesting.”
“I’m in my 20’s and I’ve dated people,” he said in March 2023. “And for some reason, that’s very crazy and interesting to people. I don’t think it’s interesting. I’ve been in show business for, like, half my life almost — for 14 or 15 years and on a national TV show. In 12 years I’ve dated 10 people.”
Davidson also pointed out that he doesn’t even have social media profiles to be “flexing” who he’s dating.
Davidson’s love life was initially thrust into the spotlight when he struck up a romance with Grande. He proposed to her just a few weeks after they began dating in 2018.
The comedian and the “7 Rings” singer ultimately called off their engagement just a few months later in October 2018.
Davidson went on to date Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber and Phoebe Dynevor over the next few years.
However, he found himself in a heightened spotlight again when he dated Kardashian from 2021 to 2022.
Davidson later moved on with Emily Ratajkowski in late 2022 and later his “Bodies Bodies Bodies” co-star Chase Sui Wonders from January to August 2023.
Most recently, he was in a year-long relationship with “Outer Banks” actress Madelyn Cline, but they split in July 2024.
