The Space-Time Smackdown expansion is live in Pokémon TCG Pocket, but no, it doesn’t mean the Genetic Apex expansion is gone. You just need to switch booster packs to see it.
This update brings 140 new cards to the game and introduces trading to the game. It also changes how the application looks on the frontend. Most notably: You can no longer choose to open booster packs from the launch-day expansion, Genetic Apex, directly from the home page.

How to switch booster packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Switching which pack you open in Pokémon TCG Pocket is a matter of opening an extra menu. Here is how to do it:
- From the game homepage, select any booster pack you see. (I tapped Mythical Island, but it doesn’t matter which you pick. The directions from here are still the same.)
- You should see the booster pack. From there, look at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Tap the button that says, “Select other booster packs.”
- From there, you will see a screen that allows you to select any expansion. As you see, old packs, like Genetic Apex are shown there. Tap whichever pack you like, and boom! You are ready to pull from older packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
