Christina Hall claims her close relationship with ex Tarek El Moussa caused explosive fights with her “insecure” estranged husband, Josh Hall.
On Wednesday’s premiere of “The Flip Off,” Christina got emotional talking to El Moussa as she detailed why she split from Josh.
“You make him very insecure,” Christina said through tears. “Every time we would barely joke at soccer, or if I laughed at you, he would not speak to me for like two to three days. I would get silent treatment.”
Christina, 41, claimed that her husband didn’t like her and would tell her that she was “cocky” and “arrogant.”
“You’re not any of those things, and he’s projecting,” El Moussa, 43, told her. “You’re a great mother, a great daughter. You are a great human.”
Christina explained that she and Josh, 44, broke up for good after a “blow-up fight over nothing.”
“The kids literally asked me to leave,” Christina said of her and El Moussa’s two kids. “They told me, ‘He’s not nice to me.’ Why would I stick around?”
The episode –– which centers around Christina and Josh facing off against El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, to flip the most profitable home –– also features a heated argument between Christina and Josh before they called it quits.
During the intense exchange, Josh told Christina to “shut up” after she seemed hesitant to use his last name, and Christina claimed that her surname was another point of contention in their relationship.
“When I met Josh, my name was still Christina El Moussa on everything,” she explained in a confessional. “Josh did not like that, and he was all about me becoming a Hall.”
Christina added that Josh had become “a bit moody lately,” but she chalked it up to unresolved feelings of her working with her ex again on the new show.
“Josh knows that Tarek and I have a history,” she said in a confessional. “I’m sure some of it is the stress of the competition. “
Christina and Josh broke up just days into production, so Christina continued competing against her ex and his wife, while Josh did not film again.
Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024 after three years of marriage. The exes have continued butting heads and have each made jabs at each other on social media and in the press.
Christina was previously married to El Moussa from 2009 to 2016 and share two kids: daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9.
Before moving on with Josh, Christina was married to Ant Anstead from 2018 to 2021. The exes share 5-year-old son, Hudson London.
