Meryl Streep was one of the many celebrities forced to evacuate when the wildfires broke out in Los Angeles earlier this month.

The Oscar winner’s nephew Abe Streep revealed that the actress, 75, had to come up with a creative plan to get to safety.

“My aunt Meryl Streep received an order to evacuate on Jan. 8, but when she tried to leave, she discovered that a large tree had fallen over in her driveway, blocking her only exit,” Abe wrote in an essay published by New York Magazine Tuesday.

The “Devil Wears Prada” star then reached out to a neighbor for help.

“Determined to make it out, she borrowed wire cutters from a neighbor, cut a car-size hole in the fence she shared with the neighbors on the other side, and drove through their yard to escape,” Abe wrote.

The actress’ nephew also revealed that her “Only Murders in the Building” co-star Martin Short’s home was spared from the devastation of the fires.

“I will definitely stay in my home,” the 74-year-old comedian — who has sparking dating rumors with Meryl — told Abe with “resolve.”

One of Short’s sons, however, was not as fortunate and lost his home in the fires.

Abe also spoke to Haley Joel Osment — the actor known for starring in “The Sixth Sense” with Bruce Willis — who lost his home in the Eaton Fire.

Osment, 36, revealed he lost 500 records in the fire as well as a piano his parents gifted to him on his 18th birthday.

“It had been built around and between about a dozen big oaks descending down a hillside,” Osment said of his now-incinerated home.

Other stars whose homes burned down in the wildfires include Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody and Miles Teller.

“This Is Us” stars Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia were another pair of celebs who were affected by the fires.

The Palisades Fire burned through over 23,000 acres in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, while the Eaton Fire burned over 14,000 acres in Altadena, Calif.

Although not everyone’s home burned down, many had to evacuate similarly to Meryl.

Ben Affleck — who purchased a $20.5 million home in the Pacific Palisades just months prior — was forced to flee to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home.
