On the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 runway, Junya Watanabe MAN revealed its latest New Balance collaboration. Paired with a laidback ensemble, a pair of the New Balance 471 makes its way to the runway in navy, marking the revival of the retro running silhouette of the 1970s.
While the inline model has not yet been released to the market this Junya Watanabe MAN collaboration marks the silhouette’s world premiere. Giving audiences a glimpse of what to expect, the New Balance 471 was shown in a navy blue colorway on the runway, but the global release will also see a monochromatic grey-hued one as well. The shoe’s subtlety is enhanced by the understated colors, making them easy to match for any occasion. The upper is constructed out of textile, premium leather and suede overlays while it sits atop a rubber outsole and midsole. Each of the shoes will arrive in a custom co-branded shoe box to round out the collaboration. The insoles feature the co-branded monikers as do the suede heels, while the tongue tag just sees the “NB” logo.
There is no official release date for the collaboration just yet but expect the two pairs, “Navy” and “Grey” to drop later this year.
