W Aspen in Colorado has become a living canvas for the renowned Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra, who has transformed the space with a vibrant collection of murals and installations. Known for his kaleidoscopic style of bold colors and geometric patterns, Kobra’s work at W Aspen spans the lobby, rooms, and exclusive guest areas, creating a visual feast that embodies his signature technique. Using interwoven squares, triangles, and textures, Kobra brings larger-than-life portraits to life, celebrating figures and moments through his unmistakable artistic lens.
Complementing Kobra’s artistic takeover, W Aspen is enhancing its guest experience this winter with the launch of two highly anticipated dining concepts. Running through April 2025, the hotel will host Chef Eyal Shani’s celebrated Mediterranean restaurant, HaSalon, for an exclusive pop-up. Known for blending bold flavors and pure, locally sourced ingredients, HaSalon’s Aspen outpost will feature a dynamic dining experience that transitions from intimate, music-filled dinners to lively evenings filled with dancing and high-energy cuisine. Signature dishes like charred beetroot carpaccio, baby potatoes with Osetra caviar, and ricotta clouds will highlight Chef Shani’s inventive approach to Mediterranean gastronomy.
Additionally, W Aspen will unveil HIDALGO, a permanent bar concept helmed by cocktail visionary Dushan Zarić, the mind behind the iconic Employees Only bars. Located in the hotel’s lobby grotto, HIDALGO will focus on handcrafted agave-based cocktails like the “Improved Margarita” and “Yellow Jacket.” With Zarić’s renowned creativity, HIDALGO promises to be a sophisticated yet vibrant destination for cocktail enthusiasts, operating Thursday through Monday from 6 PM onwards.
