Although she’s worried about him, Miley Cyrus is not looking to make amends with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, Page Six is told.
Sources familiar with the situation tell us the pop star, 32, hasn’t had a relationship with the country singer “for a long time” and has “no interest” in repairing things with him.
However, our insiders say she saw his disastrous performance at President Trump’s post-inauguration Liberty Ball earlier this week and found it “concerning.”
Miley’s younger sister, Noah Cyrus, is “also concerned,” as she loves Billy Ray “unconditionally” and “wants the best for him,” according to our informants.
At Monday’s event in Washington, DC, the disheveled-looking “Achy Breaky Heart” crooner, 63, stumbled through his short set, which he later blamed on faulty equipment.
His son Trace Cyrus — who is sober — then penned a lengthy open letter revealing that he and members of their family are “genuinely worried” about the patriarch.
Our insiders say Trace, 35, and his siblings — minus brother Braison — discussed his Instagram post before he shared it and that they “signed off” on it because they “all agree” with what he wrote.
However, one source denies this, going so far as to claim that the family is “pissed” at Trace because Billy Ray is “sober.” This source also claims the Grammy winner is “in a really good place” with both Miley and Noah.
In Trace’s public plea to Billy Ray to seek help, he admitted he “barely recognize[s]” his father now and lamented in part, “It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”
With “tears in [his] eyes,” he went on, “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it. … I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I love you Dad.”
Trace then disclosed he is “over a year and half clean from alcohol” and added, “I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help.”
He also mentioned Noah, specifically, saying the 25-year-old “desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though.”
Even Billy Ray’s ex-wife Firerose shares his loved ones’ concerns. Braison, however, does not.
In fact, he insists the “Old Town Road” hitmaker is “happy,” “healthy” and “ready” to release his forthcoming album, which Braison will be producing.
According to Trace, Braison, 30, believes their dad is doing well because “birds of a feather flock together.”
As for Miley, she noticeably excluded Billy Ray from her 2024 Grammys acceptance speech, only thanking her mom, Tish Cyrus, her sister, her “love” and her stylists.
“I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!” she added at the time.
In a subsequent appearance on David Letterman’s “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” Miley said she “inherited the narcissism” from her father and called her mother her “hero.”
Reps for Miley, Noah and Billy Ray did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
