Taylor Swift is better than “The Man” when it comes to the Billboard charts.
The 35-year-old singer earned her 15th No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with her 2023 album Lover: Live From Paris, Billboard announced on Wednesday, January 22. The top spot on the chart, dated Jan. 25, was achieved through a combination of its vinyl reissue and its debut as a downloadable album.
Billboard noted that Swift now surpasses Jay-Z for the most No.1s on the list as he only received 14 No.1s between 1998 and 2017.
The eight-song live album from Swift’s City of Lover concert at the Olympia in Paris on Sept. 9, 2019 — her last live performance before The Eras Tour began in March 2023 — was originally released in 2023 as a limited-edition, heart-shaped double vinyl, sold exclusively through her web store.
It spent one week at No. 5 on the Top Album Sales chart and No. 58 on the Billboard 200 before being restocked on her web store earlier this month. It then sold 202,500 copies in the U.S. during the tracking week ending January 16, according to Luminate (via Billboard).
Swift’s latest success comes amid rumors that her ex, fellow musician Matty Healy, is working on a project about their rumored situationship-turned-brief romance.
However, the “Shake It Off” singer doesn’t seem to be too bothered, as she was seen supporting her new “Lover” Travis Kelce during his playoff game against the Texas on Saturday, Jan. 18.
It is unclear if she will be in attendance to cheer on the tight end as he takes on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 26.
