A Burger King customer in Ohio got a surprise side for her kid’s meal — free cannabis.
The user Jannabamma posted a viral TikTok holding up the bowl of buds she found in an order of chicken fries she bought for her child at a Burger King in Hamilton, WDTN reported.
“She got her chicken fries. Chicken fries with a side of…” the woman said, gesturing to the Burger King meal beside the cannabis.
“Cannot make this up,” said wrote in the caption. “I didn’t ask for a side of this.”
Burger King confirmed it was legitimate, and swiftly terminated the employee who was responsible.
“We contacted the Franchisee of this restaurant immediately upon learning of this incident and can confirm that the employee in question has been terminated,” a Burger King spokesperson told the outlet.
“We were very disappointed to learn of the incident and do not take incidents that put our guests in danger lightly.”
Though no formal police reports have been made, the Hamilton police department is “actively investigating the incident,” the outlet said.
The video has racked up over 138,000 likes and 4,000 comments — expressing both jealousy and shock.
“What exactly did you order…? like… what words SPECIFICALLY did you say to get THAT exact order? asking for a friend,” one user wrote jokingly.
“Well, you asked for nugs!” another user quipped.
