FACETASM has long drawn inspiration from humanity’s goodness, extrapolating themes like “RADIANCE” and “Do What You Love” to spotlight the positivity and hopefulness we often overlook. For its Fall/Winter 2025 range, the Japan-based label doesn’t stray from the formula and presents a collection entitled “Kind Shelter,” which draws design inspiration from the LOG boutique hotel in Onomichi, Japan.
The retreat hotel – designed by Studio Mumbai under the direction of architect Bijoy Jain – is rooted in the mantra of “Be Kind,” a sentiment directly aligned with FACETASM’s approach to fashion design.
With the ethereal LOG informing the structure of “Kind Shelter,” FACETASM literally offers a place of refuge in the new range, leaning heavily into new layering and oversized silhouettes. Textures and fabrics are mixed and matched and comfort is prioritized, while the mostly earthy colorway of browns and mellow blues is contrasted with striking yellow and red outerwear and knits.
In continuation of creating its own “Kind Shelter” through the collection, fluidity flourishes; down coats and knitwear drop in rather spacious silhouettes while trousers are tailored to fit rather loosely. Subtle adjustable features elevate a plethora of the pieces for ease of wear, arriving in the form of snap-closure, tactical pocketing and hidden zippers.
