It may be the peak of Winter, but nanamica is ready to set sail for Spring/Summer 2025, unveiling a functional collection of “Life-Tech Wear” with a core inspiration from seascapes.
The Japanese label’s forthcoming collection resumes its exploration of applying innovative technical fabrics to elegant menswear styles. This time the brand leans into an ethereal sensibility utilizing lightweight materials interpreted with summertime aesthetics.
For outerwear, breezy recycled nylon shell jackets are offered alongside longer coats made with the nanamica’s signature two-layer cotton GORE-TEX fit for cooler transitional months. Even the closer layers are injected with technical features, including white workwear sets made with a combination of KODENSHI® and ALPHADRY® finishes to regulate body temperature and wick away excess moisture.
Stand-out looks include a cotton two-piece set comprising a double-breasted jacket with matching trousers, and a dark blue look comprising a gradient pinstripe shirt, a ribbed zip cardigan, and navy cargos. Contrasting with easy neutrals are vibrant oceanic colors ranging from indigo, cerulean, turquoise, and sax. These varying hues come together in layered looks, as demonstrated by one model who wears a turquoise nylon jacket over a beige roll-neck sweater and white khakis. Elsewhere, a deep cerulean jacket’s smooth surface contrasts with a tonal blue plaid shirt worn with navy trousers.
The collection also introduces a new line-up of womenswear including voluminous cotton skirts, draw-string waisted shirts, nautical striped tees, and denim pants and skirts.
As of the time of writing, nanamica has not announced an official release date for the SS25 collection, but the full line can be viewed in the gallery above. Stay tuned to nanamica’s Instagram for updates on the forthcoming collection.
