The Weeknd is delaying the release date of his newest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, as well as cancelling his upcoming Rose Bowl concert due to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

He announced via Instagram, “Out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles County, I am canceling the Rose Bowl concert originally scheduled for January 25th. This city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impact during this difficult time.”

“In light of this, I have also decided to push the release of my album to January 31st. My focus remains on supporting the recovery of these communities and aiding its incredible people as they rebuild,” The Weeknd continued.

Fans who purchased tickets via Ticketmaster for his show at the Rose Bowl will receive automatic refunds, however those who purchased from a third-party reseller must reach out to their point of purchase.

Hurry Up Tomorrow will mark the final installment in The Weeknd’s latest album trilogy, which is also comprised of After Hours and Dawn FM. In addition to the music album, the project will be expanded into a feature film starring Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan and The Weeknd himself.
