Courrèges has unveiled its Pre-Fall 2025 collection, continuing the French label’s contemporary interpretation of the founder’s Space Age vision, characterized by smooth architectural silhouettes and modernist themes.
Materialized in structured greyscale fabrics, cut and draped into meticulous curves, the collection fits the setting of a futuristic city with a subtle neo-noir filter. Touches of tradition are hinted at in abstracted forms, best represented by a t-shirt resembling a raglan style with black shoulders and a curved white panel below, occupying the rest of the shirt.
Far from hypermasculine, the men’s looks maintain an adventurousness in their minimalism through fits and cuts usually reserved for womenswear. Black and white solid tanks are embellished with silver hardware, while elsewhere a men’s tank top is reduced to a large black fabric circle with its convex neckline and hem. Across both the men’s and women’s looks, a general air of playfulness enhances the effect of core pieces.
However, the women’s looks are where the most adventurous moments live. Rendered in translucent materials like metallic mesh and white lace, the collection offers a parade of party-appropriate mini-dresses in varying styles. These high-exposure moments are counterbalanced with stealthy looks, including one comprised of a ribbed long-sleeve made with a unique convex neck, paired with leather flare pants and a matching cap.
This is further explored in the classic men’s outerwear lineup led by a long black trench worn with a black leather cap and a leather motorcycle jacket with embossed branding. Throughout the collection hats and sunglasses give models an intriguing anonymity even when they bear extra skin.
