A viral video is making its way on the internet that showcases a situation where former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was removed from a flight. Nurmagomedov was sitting in the exit row when he was approached by a flight attendant, which resulted in his being removed from the flight.

The above video shows the ordeal, where Nurmagomedov is approached by flights attendants. He is initially asked to either change seats or be removed from the flight. The retired UFC star then starts to plead his case about knowing how to handle an emergency situation.
The entire ordeal has been called into question, with many stating that his removal could be racial profiling. Now, Nurmagomedov has taken to the internet to discuss the situation.

“First of all, I need to clarify that it was FlyFrontier not AlaskaAir. Lady who comes to me with questions was very rude from the very beginning, even though I speak very decent English and can understand everything and agreed to assist, she still insists on removing me from my seat. What was the base for that, racial, national or other one, I’m not sure. But after 2 minutes of conversation, she called security and I was deplaned from this aircraft, after 1,5 hour I boarded another airline one and left to my destination. I did my best to stay calm and respecttul as you can see on the video. But those crew members could do better next time and just be nice with clients,” Nurmagomedov’s post reads.

Many online believed this perceived mistreatment was caused by Alaska Air, but Nurmagomedov stated that it was Frontier Airlines. He then goes into detail about the video.
Nurmagomedov explains that the flight attendants were already being “rude” to him when they approached. He also stated that even though he speaks decent English, the reason for his removal was due to the attendants apparently not being comfortable with his grasp of the language.
Nurmagomedov questions the nature of his removal, stating he is unsure if his removal was due to “racial or national” bias. Either way, this video does not show a good look at the airline in question.
Nurmagomedov appears to also take the high road and simply states that he wishes the airline would treat their clients with more respect.
For now, it appears Nurmagomedov will likely not want to deal with Frontier when he is traveling in the future.
