KITH has never been one to skip a holiday celebration: last month the brand released capsules celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah, and now KITH Treats is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a “Year of the Snake” offering. Consisting of apparel, a mahjong set, red envelopes and, of course, special ice cream and shake options, the boldly-colored collection is coated in floral patterns that nod to traditional Chinese artwork.
“Concise” is not often an adjective that’s used to describe one of the brand’s collections (their effort with Batman in November supplied no less than 90 items), and it doesn’t apply here either: apparel is a set of four very similar offerings that includes a hoodie and crewneck with a rose pattern around their KITH box logos, and a latticed illustration that surrounds the same logo on yet another crewneck and a hoodie. The latter set of apparel items also boast a large floral snake graphic on their back.
Accessory-wise, the mahjong set offers custom branding and comes packaged in a bespoke briefcase, while the red envelopes arrive in a pack of five, each with gold foil embossing. Meanwhile, both of the drinks make use of ube, a purple yam that’s originally from the Philippines.
The KITH Treats “Year of the Snake” capsule is available now via the KITH webstore and the brand’s various retail outposts.
