WIND AND SEA is heavily influenced by the music scene. The Takashi Kumagai-led label has looked to music to inform many of its capsules and collections, with 2024 seeing the label tap in with the likes of the Beastie Boys and PaRappa the Rapper as well as delivering a range inspired by UK garage and grime. For the line’s first release of 2025, WIND AND SEA has partnered with The Grateful Dead for a colorful capsule of co-branded goods.
With The Dead’s iconography at the forefront of the garments, the duo delivers a selection of graphics – including crewnecks, t-shirts and headwear.
However, leading the lineup is a cut-and-sew piece: a distressed heavyweight plaid shirt. The shirt comes dipped in a bleach-dyed pattern and is stamped with a large Steal Your Face on the back. The infamous Dead logo is reimagined with WIND AND SEA’s wave motif incorporated at the top and the brand’s lettering included underneath.
