Though Princess Beatrice is expecting another child soon, she is still making plans to represent the royal family abroad. According to The Times, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will travel to Davos to attend the annual World Economic Forum. During the annual gathering, which runs from January 20 to 24, she is expected to speak on a panel where she will discuss what private capital and family foundations can do to combat climate change.

In October, Buckingham Palace announced that Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting another child “early in the new year.” The pair are already parents to daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, born September 2021, and Christopher “Wolfie” Mapelli Mozzi, Edoardo’s son from a previous relationship.

Last month Beatrice canceled plans to travel to Italy for the holiday season, reportedly citing doctors’ advice amid her ongoing pregnancy. Her sister, Princess Eugenie, spent the holidays with her in-laws, while Sarah and Andrew declined to join the royal family at Sandringham due to a recent scandal involving Andrew’s friendship with an alleged Chinese spy. (Andrew has stated that he has “ceased all contact” with the alleged spy and that there was “nothing of a sensitive nature ever discussed.” For his part, Yang Tengbo has called the allegation that he is a spy “entirely untrue.”) Beatrice, Edoardo, and Wolfie were only members of the immediate family to join the rest of the royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, on their annual walk to church on Christmas morning.

Beatrice, who works in private industry, is not technically a senior royal, but she often attends official royal events as a member of the extended family. After the death of Queen Elizabeth, she also became a Counsellor of State, one of the family members in the line of succession who is authorized by law to carry out the official business of the sovereign in case of the monarch’s short term absence. In 2024, after both King Charles III and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with cancer, she represented the family more frequently at events like the Buckingham Palace garden parties, Wimbledon, and Royal Ascot.
