JBL’s Most Advanced Headphones Yet Come With a Smart Touch Transmitter

Accompanied by a wide range of new product announcements at CES 2025, JBL unveiled its most advanced over-ear headphones to date: the Tour ONE M3. The Harman-owned brand calls its latest headphones “the most feature-rich” of all its offerings, mainly due to the introduction of the first-ever JBL SMART Tx audio transmitter.

Making the headphones compatible with almost any source including an inflight entertainment system, PC, tablet or television–the touch-screen companion acts as a pocket-sized wireless control center. The transmitter optimizes latency, stability, and quality while enabling full control over music playback, call management, EQ Settings, and Auracast-enabled broadcasting. When users set up JBL Personi-Fi 3.0 through an in-app hearing test, JBL’s algorithm helps users establish a custom sound profile powered by 12-band EQ and separate L/R balance optimization.

In tandem with high-level functionality, JBL is offering top-notch audio quality with newly developed 40mm Mica Dome drivers that supply immersive, balanced sound. Through an advanced 8-microphone system, JBL True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 can block out external noise, or users can set up Ambient Aware and TalkThru for selective sound allowance. For an especially realistic listening experience, the introduction of integrated head tracking via JBL Spatial 360 allows users to move their heads about while sounds stay fixed in space.

Though the product loaded with tons of convenient features, JBL keeps the design tastefully minimal with a smooth matte shell available in Black, Mocha and Blue.

The JBL Tour ONE M3 and the JBL SMART Tx are set for release on April 13, 2025, at the JBL web store for $399.95 USD.
