Jeremy Strong Won the 2025 Golden Globes Carpet With a Velvet Bucket Hat

Jeremy Strong wore a teal, velvet bucket hat and matching jacket and glasses to the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday night, because of course he did. And everyone on the internet loved it, because of course we did!

Strong is nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 82nd Golden Globes for his role as the real-life lawyer Roy Cohn, in the 2024 biopic about a young Donald Trump, The Apprentice, starring Sebastian Stan. If there’s one way to prevent people from asking you to talk about Trump for your Trump movie, it’s to wear a very silly hat! What interviewer would want to talk politics with the guy who looks like a fuzzy Crayola crayon?

Strong paired this velvet-bucket-hat-and-jacket look with a cozy, white turtleneck sweater and tinted glasses. And honestly? He low-key slayed.

Globe viewers on social media certainly thought so.

“OBSESSED WITH JEREMY STRONG’S FIT,” exclaimed another.

On BlueSky, the sentiment was similar. “I love it. He looks like an evil birdwatcher,” wrote writer Kashana Cauley on BlueSky.

Strong’s date for the night was his wife of nine years, Emma Wall, who opted for a more subdued look in an elegant white dress.

Strong already has one Golden Globe win under his belt for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama, from his critically-acclaimed performance in HBO’s Succession. Strong’s co-star in The Apprentice, Sebastian Stan, was also nominated for a 2025 Golden Globe for his performance as Trump, and is up for Best Actor for Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Drama.
