Inside W Magazine’s star-studded Golden Globes party for its Best Performances issue

W Magazine’s Golden Globes party was so star-studded that Angelina Jolie was able to have a quiet conversation with Zoe Saldana undisturbed in the corner next to the DJ.

If Vanity Fair’s Oscars party rules the Academy Awards scene, W has traditionally cornered the market on Globes glamour with its annual Chateau Marmont penthouse party for its Best Performances issue.

While Jolie — nominated for a Golden Globe on Sunday for her role in “Maria” and fresh from finalizing her divorce from Brad Pitt — discreetly powwowed with “Avatar” star Saldana, “Thor: Ragnarok” director Taika Waititi boisterously held court on the terrace outside, and a sea of celebs swirled including Nicole Kidman (with her daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban), Cynthia Erivo, Andrew Garfield, Adrien Brody, Daniel Craig, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore and Tilda Swinton.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter arrived in a pink Vivienne Westwood dress that would rival Madonna or Marilyn Monroe, while Kevin Bacon rocked a vintage Iron Maiden T-shirt under a blazer.

The “Brutalist” star Adrien Brody arrived with his fashion designer girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, and his parents — while the director of Brody’s movie, Brady Corbet, held court with the rest of the cast at a dinner downstairs in the Chateau Marmont restaurant.

Other stars at the W bash also included Charli XCX, Zoë Kravitz, Cara Delevingne, Pamela Anderson, Eddie Redmayne, Hannah Einbinder and Awkwafina.

The night’s hosts — W editor in chief Sara Moonves and editor at large Lynn Hirschberg — greeted guests as they streamed into the packed penthouse suite, and security at the door kept out any clever crashers.

Beyond the stars, power players included CAA co-chairs Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd, Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquière, shoe god Christian Louboutin, hotelier André Balazs, viral chef Matty Matheson, stylist Law Roach and Netflix’s Krista Smith.

By the end of the night, celebs were still packed on the terrace as fries were served, and guests including Jaden Smith danced inside to tunes played by DJ Ross One.

Guest Jared Leto headed downstairs to the hotel’s hip restaurant, as did Kathy and Nicky Hilton, while other diners included Kim Kardashian’s former assistant Stephanie Shepherd and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Next door at Bar Marmont, Vanity Fair hosted a bash with Amazon MGM Studios attended by Jennifer Lopez, Kate Beckinsale, Jodie Foster and more.
