AI-focussed tech startup Natura Umana has teased the Humanpods earbuds, an open-ear wireless design that gives users access to artificial intelligence assistance with a gentle tap. Set to be officially unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the company describes its innovative headset as offering “the closest experience to a telepathic connection with your technology.”
It’s the startup’s Nature OS that powers the seamless experience. By voice dictation users can converse with proprietary LLM-based agents called “AI People,” designed to mimic human interaction. Based on the verbal request from the user, Nature can assign different AI People to address the given need, whether it be a therapist, a fitness trainer, or a travel guide.
Users can also access official LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude without the need to open any apps or even touch their cellphones.
Natura Umana’s Humanpods claim to do all this without sacrificing sound or comfort. A custom 14.8mm driver is designed to fit within the ear canal for superior sound quality. Additionally, 90% of environmental noise can be reduced using ENC and dual-mic technology and dynamic bass enhancement automatically adjusts levels for consistent quality.
As of the time of writing, an official release date has yet to be announced. However, the device will be showcased at CES 2025 and is set for release in the first quarter of 2025.
