Zachery Ty Bryan “punched a woman multiple times and threatened to kill her” before being arrested on New Year’s Day, TMZ reports.
The unidentified woman — who reportedly shares a child with Bryan, 43 — allegedly told police the “Home Improvement” alum punched her on the left side of her face and also put her in a choke hold, making her fear for her life.
The woman’s injuries are consistent with her story, the police report says, per TMZ.
Bryan welcomed multiple children with his ex-wife, Carly Matros, and his fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright. It’s unclear if either woman was involved in the incident.
The former child star was arrested for second-degree domestic violence in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Wednesday evening and transferred to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Thursday after he was unable to make his $10,000 bail, a Myrtle Beach Police representative told Page Six.
A court date has yet to be announced.
Bryan’s mugshot shows him looking unkempt with a red mark on his forehead and several cuts on his face.
Page Six contacted his rep for comment following his initial arrest and after TMZ’s latest report but did not hear back.
Bryan is no stranger to run-ins with the law.
He was arrested for driving under the influence in California in February 2024 and in Oklahoma in October 2024.
Furthermore, the “Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!)” actor was charged with two felonies after he allegedly strangled his then-girlfriend, Cartwright, in 2020.
He spoke out about the incident in 2023 and said it was “blown out of proportion.”
“We got really loud. We were screaming and because we were in a townhome that had [thin walls], everybody could hear,” he told the Hollywood Reporter.
“At the end of the day, [the police] throw a bunch of counts at you because they ultimately want you to plead to something,” he added. “I could’ve fought it … but that’s more stress and drama.”
He and Cartwright got engaged a year after his domestic violence arrest.
