Cher claimed late music producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector asked her to have sex with him when she was just 15 years old and he was in his early 20s.
The 78-year-old music icon made the claim in her memoir, “Cher: Part One: The Memoir: Part One of a Two-Part Memoir from the Iconic Artist and Actor,” saying she met Spector through her former boyfriend, musician Antonino LoTempio, and was immediately disturbed by how he looked her “up and down.”
“He might have been a demigod to many, but he acted weird, and I didn’t like how he stared at me,” she penned.
Cher alleged Spector asked her to sleep with him in French and was stunned when she answered in the same language.
“‘Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?’ he said, smirking, asking me to sleep with him,” Cher recalled of the alleged conversation.
“Without breaking a sweat, I gave him a look back and replied, ‘Oui, pour l’argent,’ ” she remembered replying, asking for payment for the sex.
“You could have knocked him over with a feather. He didn’t think I’d understand the question, let alone have an answer,” she added.
The “Believe” singer had another negative interaction with Spector later in life when she confronted him about illegally using her vocals in a single he released in Europe.
Cher said he tried to intimidate her by pulling out a gun and twirling it around his fingers but that she stuck to her words.
Even after he displayed his gun, she recalled warning, “‘Don’t f–k with me, Phillip! This is me, Cher, okay? … Put that f–king gun down and promise me you’ll never do anything like this s–y with my music again, okay?’”
She claimed he apologized and they didn’t have an issue again.
Spector died in 2021 at age 84. He died in a California prison while serving 19 years to life for murdering actress Lana Clarkson.
Cher had sex before the late music producer attempted to get into bed with her, which she also wrote about in her memoir.
In one part of the book, she admitted she had “revenge sex” at age 14 after a boy dismissed her.
“I was so hurt when he did that, I had revenge sex with him. I had never wanted to,” she wrote. “Otherwise, I would have done it one of the five hundred other times he asked.”
“When what turned out to be a massively overrated experience came to an end, I asked him, ‘Is that it? Are we finished?’ Then I told him to go home and never come back.”
