When Bad Bunny announced his imminent studio project last week, he revealed the album’s title and release date – DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos, dropping officially on January 5 – in a captivating teaser trailer starring legendary Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales. As the anticipated album’s drop day inches closer, Benito has shared a full short film in support of the album.
“How many experiences I’ve had. I met a lot of people. Good people. I traveled to many countries – almost everywhere in the world. But none like Puerto Rico – or what it used to be,” Morales reflects at the beginning as he digs up a box from underground.
“There was something here. I’m not sure what. An unbelievable magic. And it’s still here. It’s still here.”
Morales sits down with his friend Concho – voiced by Kenneth Canales – and reminisces on the past, admitting he wishes he, hence the album name, would’ve taken more photos.
“I wish i would’ve have taken more photos to show you,” he recounts, “Photos are moments we’ve lived, memories of things we’ve experiences.”
As the eleven-minute film progresses, Morales realizes just how much Puerto Rico has changed.
