In the fourth and latest chapter to nanamica’s “Life-Tech Wear” series, the Japanese label continues to highlight its emphasis on functionality via new outerwear.
The drop spotlights four styles offered in Black, Navy, Khaki Green and Wet Sand — all made with GORE-TEX and KODENSHI® down. Implemented with 2-layer polyester GORE-TEX, the coats provide excellent protection against water while also maintaining breathability, while the KODENSHI® down fabrication helps to retain body heat. Through the combination of advanced materials, the garments ensure both optimal performance and comfort for their wearers whether it’s rain or snow.
First in the lineup is a mid-length hooded down coat, designed with details inspired by military jackets. It features microfleece-lined necklines, ribbed inner cuffs as well as multiple pockets for enhanced comfort and usability.
Elsewhere, the short stand-collar down jacket also uses a 2-layer GORE-TEX, ensuring freedom of movement with its yoked sleeve design. Fitted with a double zipper, which allows for easy temperature regulation and adjustable silhouette, while large inner pockets provide secure storage for valuables.
Next is the fishtail down coat, inspired by the U.S. Army’s M-1951 shell parka. This design covers the body down to the hips and features a nanamica-style arrangement with practical elements such as microfleece-lined flap pockets and neck area for added warmth.
Finally, the collection includes a Wool GORE-TEX Cadet Coat Down Liner. Boasting a classic look with modern functionality, its design also draws reference to winter gear issued to officers. Features such as non-itchy wool cuffs, adjustable drawcords, and multiple security pockets ensure both comfort and practicality, making it an ideal choice for combating cold weather while maintaining a sophisticated appearance.
Prices go from $790 $1,190 USD, nanamica’s “GORE-TEX & KODENSHI® Down” outerwear capsule is now available shop via nanamica.
