The dynamic one-two punch of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley has propelled the Eagles to their NFC East-leading 12-3 record.
But they weren’t able to win consistently — and become the NFL‘s bbest-rushingattack this season — without the help from their offensive lineman, who were gifted by the two stars with a unique present.
As an expression of gratitude for the holidays, Hurts and Barkley presented each member of the offensive line with a custom, black golf cart displaying their last name and number on the side.

It’s a common tradition for a quarterback or skill player to gift their offensive lineman this time of year, though Philadelphia’s offense has plenty to be merry for heading into the playoffs: it has accumulated over 187 rushing yards per game.
Barkley is amidst not only a renaissance campaign, but a career season where he himself is averaging 122 yards, which is the best rate across the NFL.
At 1,838 total rushing yards and with two games left in the Eagles’ regular season, Barkley can still break Eric Dickerson’s all-time single-season rushing yards record of 2,105.
The Eagles’ sights on clinching the NFC East were spoiled by the Washington Commanders last Sunday in a 36-33 defeat where Hurts went down to a concussion.
His helmet slammed against the turf after he was tackled while running the football himself on a 14-yard carry on second-and-20.
Backup Kenny Pickett came into the game in relief, completing 14 of 24 pass attempts with one touchdown and an interception.
Hurts failed to clear concussion protocol and did not practice on Thursday, so Pickett is trending towards starting Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
“Still waiting to find out. As you guys know, when you’re in concussion protocol, I have no say in that and Jalen has no say in that, so that’s completely up to the doctors as it should be,” head coach Nick Sirianni said.
Pickett was officially listed as a full participant in practice on Thursday despite having dealt with a rib injury. He doesn’t expect any limitations, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Whether it’s Pickett or Hurts under center, the offensive line will look to continue its role in protecting the signal caller and create openings for Barkley in a game that can clinch the Eagles the NFC East.
They would need to tie or defeat the Cowboys to officially clinch the division They will also clinch if the Commanders lose or tie their game against the Atlanta Falcons.
“I’m just looking to do my part now,” Pickett said. “I just want to focus on doing my job each play. That’s really my focus right now – being as prepared as possible to help us win this game.”
Philadelphia signed quarterback Ian Book to its practice squad on Thursday for additional depth at the position should Hurts have to miss extended time.
