A number of winter-themed skins will roll out in Marvel Rivals during the game’s Winter Celebration event. Characters Jeff, Groot, Rocket, Venom, and Magik will all receive new skins during the event though a staggered release schedule.

Winter skins release schedule for Marvel Rivals
NetEase Games is staggering the launch of Marvel Rivals’ holiday skins during the Winter Celebration, and some of the bundles will rotate in and out over the next few weeks. Here’s a quick look at the whole schedule for all winter skins in Marvel Rivals, which we’ll breakdown in more detail below:
- Jeff the Land Shark’s Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume (Dec. 20, 2024, to Jan. 9, 2025)
- Rocket Raccoon‘s Wild Winter costume bundle (Dec. 20, 2024, to Jan. 9, 2025)
- Groot’s Holiday Happiness costume bundle (Dec. 20, 2024, to Jan. 9, 2025)
- Rocket and Groot’s Best Winter Buds Bundle (Dec. 20 to Dec. 27, 2024)
- Venom’s Snow Symbiote costume bundle (Dec. 27, 2024, to Jan. 17, 2025)
- Magik’s Frozen Demon costume bundle (Dec. 27, 2024, to Jan. 17, 2025)
Jeff the Land Shark skin availability dates
The free skin for Jeff, called Cuddly Fuzzlefin, is the only free holiday costume in the 2024 Winter Celebration.
But to unlock it, you’ll need to play a ton of the Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival game mode before the event ends on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. EST. You’ll also need to play on five to 10 different days of the event to get the currency you need from daily missions, so it’ll take you around a week if you’re diligent.

Rocket Raccoon and Groot skin availability dates
The beloved Guardians of the Galaxy are up first in Marvel Rivals’ Winter Celebration. You can get the Wild Winter Rocket Raccoon bundle (which includes the themed costume, MVP animation, emote, spray, and nameplate) for 2,200 Units, on sale for 1,600 Units. The Holiday Happiness Groot bundle comes with its own themed goodies and is the same price.
However, if you like both skins, you can get the Best Winter Buds Bundle, which comes with both bundles for 4,400 Units (no savings), on sale for 2,300 Units (900 Units cheaper than buying both on-sale bundles separately).
The Wild Winter Rocket Raccoon and Holiday Happiness Groot costumes will only be available until Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at 7 p.m. EST, while the bundle will only last until Friday, Dec. 27.
Venom and Magik skin availability dates
The Snow Symbiote Venom and Frozen Demon Magik costumes are in the second batch of holiday-themed skins hitting Marvel Rivals’ Winter Celebration event. They will arrive in the in-game shop on Friday, Dec. 27, and will leave the in-game shop on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at 7 p.m. EST.
It’s currently unclear how much each costume bundle will cost, or if they’ll be bundled together like the Groot and Rocket Winter Celebration skins are. However, NetEase Games seems to price most costumes of the same rarity uniformly, so they should be similarly priced and will likely have a similar bundle.
