For royal fans, one unmistakable sign that the festive season is approaching is when Kate Middleton and Prince William send out their traditional Christmas cards. Thanks to social media, these can now also be viewed by anyone who is not on the Royal Family’s address list. This year is no exception.
There was already speculation beforehand that this year’s Christmas card from the couple would be special. After all, the family has had a challenging year, with the princess making her cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment public.
The picture in this year’s Christmas card shows the Princess and Prince of Wales arm in arm with their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis—in Norfolk. Kate is said to have spent most of the year on the estate there to recover from her cancer and intensive treatment.
The picture appears to be an excerpt from the video that the Princess of Wales shared at the beginning of September to inform the public about the completion of her chemotherapy and her gradual return to her public duties.
Alongside the picture, the card is adorned with a message: “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”

After the 2023 Christmas card showed the royals in front of a plain background for the first time, their 2024 message sees them return to their old tradition, so to speak, and show themselves surrounded by greenery and in nature.
