Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins believes Josh Allen’s engagement to Hailee Steinfeld changed their season for the better. Allen proposed to Steinfeld during the team’s bye week last month.

The newly engaged couple was first spotted publicly together in Manhattan, New York in May 2023. Since their engagement in November, Allen has recorded 1,020 yards, 14 touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Most recently, Allen posted a season-high 362 passing yards to lead the Bills in a 48-42 victory over the Detroit Lions. Allen’s strong performance throughout 2024 has propelled the quarterback to be the heavy favorite to win the NFL MVP award.
Dawkins believes Steinfeld’s support off the field is a key to Allen’s success on the field.
“When you’re in this world that we’re in, and a lot of people pulling at you and a lot of sources of ups and downs of a roller coaster, and you have that one stable person that you can rely on and go home and hug and get a laugh no matter what, I think that’s dope,” Dawkins said. “And that’s what I think is going on.”
Allen himself also credited his fiancée for his success, leading the Bills to an AFC East division title for a franchise-record fifth consecutive season.
“She’s been a huge part. The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best,” Allen told The Associated Press.

Allen’s mind-boggling numbers put him in a good position to earn his ffirst-everMVP trophy. Allen has led the Bills to at least 30 points in eight straight games. He’s also broken a slew of individual NFL records this season.
The Bills are poised to make a deep playoff run, in part due to Allen’s stellar play this season. It’s safe to say when things are good off the field, a player is also good on the field. It’s certainly the case for Allen.
