One of the best wrestlers of the modern era, Kenny Omega is arguably the best professional wrestler to never appear on WWE television.
Instead, Omega established himself in independent promotions around the world as well as New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Ring of Honor, DDT Pro-Wrestling, and more.

Nowadays, Omega is most recognized for his time with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), a promotion he started alongside Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes, Matthew Jackson, and Nick Jackson.
Unfortunately, Omega has been missing from AEW after health complications due to diverticulitis. Now, it looks like he will make his in-ring return sooner rather than later.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Omega is likely to make an appearance at AEW World’s End on December 28.
“Those within the company and near Omega have claimed that it’s been discussed as happening by the December 28 World’s End PPV,” Fightful Select said. “However, we’ve not learned in what capacity.”
This news coincides with a vignette that recently aired promoting his incoming return.
While this will be the first time Omega has been seen on AEW television in some time, this will most likely not be his in-ring return with NJPW.
“[Kenny Omega] returned to NJPW, with a match planned against Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5. Fightful was told this was done with Tony Khan’s blessing, and AEW viewed it as a good gesture towards the relationship with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”
Omega last appeared on AEW television in May when he gave a public health update and was attacked by The Elite, his former stable.

Omega began wrestling on the independent circuit in 2001 and spent a brief period of time with Deep South Wrestling, WWE’s former developmental territory.
After a few more years on the independent scene, Omega became involved with promotions in Japan, most notably NJPW where he became part of the iconic Bullet Club stable.
During this time, Omega took home multiple titles in NJPW, including the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Omega was a founding member of AEW and took home multiple titles with the company, including the AEW World Championship. At 346 days, he has the record for the second-longest individual reign with the title behind MJF.
