There is one outfit formula so timeless that it even has a song named after it. It is the short skirt and the long jacket, of course, seen here on Lily-Rose Depp, who has been busy with the Nosferatu press tour lately.
In New York City on December 17, the actor was snapped heading into Good Morning America wearing a brown leather motorcycle jacket so oversized it hit her mid-thigh. She wore the borrowed-from-the-boys-or-Hailey-Bieber jacket with bare legs and a dark red knit minidress, paired with blocky black sling-back heels. For her hair, she revived a Laguna Beach classic, with the front pieces twisted and secured in back to keep the hair out of her eyes.
Now, we know how popular the massively oversized leather jacket has been for the past few years at least, usually worn with straight leg jeans or a claw clip to complete the late ‘90s-inspired vibe. But, considering the chilly weather and the fact that Lily-Rose Depp was wearing the dress she wore for her GMA appearance with Nicholas Hoult, it’s also possible that she was simply cold and borrowed the jacket from a person on her team.
Perhaps we will never know the truth, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from taking inspiration from the look.
